n8n automation: workflows built, self-hosted and kept running

We design, build and maintain n8n workflows for businesses that want automation they control. For sensitive data we self-host n8n in your own cloud account, so records never pass through a third-party automation service. Every workflow ships with error handling, alerts and a runbook, and we can move your existing Zapier or Make automations across.

Who it suits

A good fit if

  • Clinics and finance teams whose data shouldn't pass through an outside automation service
  • Companies whose Zapier or Make bill grows with every task and who want to self-host
  • Teams already running n8n where workflows fail and nobody notices for days

Probably not a fit if

  • Two or three simple, low-volume flows. Zapier is usually cheaper once you count hosting and upkeep
  • Offering n8n itself to your customers as a hosted service. Its licence restricts that, and n8n sells a separate licence for it

What we build in n8n

  • Workflow design

A one-page diagram of each workflow before we build: the trigger, each step, the approvals and what happens on failure. You sign it off first.

  • AI agent workflows

n8n's AI nodes connected to OpenAI or Anthropic to read emails, classify requests and draft replies, with a person approving anything sensitive.

  • CRM, calendar and WhatsApp sync

Webhooks and scheduled syncs between your CRM, booking system, WhatsApp and spreadsheets, with de-duplication and a log of every change.

  • Self-hosted setup

n8n on Docker in your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, with Postgres, queue mode for heavier loads, HTTPS, backups and a region you choose.

  • Error handling and alerts

Retries on failed steps, an error workflow that alerts a named person on Slack or email, and execution logs kept for as long as your data rules allow.

  • Maintenance

A monthly plan covering n8n upgrades, credential renewals, fixes when an outside API changes, and small changes to workflows.

From first call to live

  1. 01

    Audit what you have

We list your current automations, manual steps and data rules. If you already run n8n, we review the instance, its credentials and its failed executions.

  2. 02

    Choose cloud or self-hosted

We recommend n8n Cloud or self-hosting based on your data, your volumes and who will maintain it, and set out the trade-off in the plan.

  3. 03

Build and test in your account

Workflows are built in your instance, tested with real data in a copy of your systems, and run alongside the old process for a week.

  4. 04

    Hand over or maintain

You get the logins, a runbook and a handover call. Or we keep it running on a monthly plan.

n8n Cloud or self-hosted?

n8n Cloud is run by n8n and is the quickest start: no servers, upgrades handled for you, priced by workflow executions. Self-hosting means running n8n on a server in your own cloud account. It suits sensitive data, high volumes and teams whose data must stay in a particular country, such as UAE patient records.

Self-hosting is not free to run. You pay for the server, and someone has to keep it upgraded, backed up and monitored. We set it up with Docker, Postgres and queue mode, and include that upkeep in the plan so the cost is visible from the start.

Is n8n free to use?

The self-hosted Community Edition is free under n8n's Sustainable Use License for automating your own business, including commercial work. The licence restricts offering n8n itself to others as a paid service. Features such as single sign-on and some admin controls need a paid n8n plan. We check which applies to you before we start and link to n8n's licence pages in the plan.

Moving from Zapier or Make to n8n

There is no one-click import, so each Zap or scenario is rebuilt. Most steps map to an n8n node directly; formatter steps, Make's iterators and aggregators, and some app-specific actions need rewriting. We migrate one workflow at a time, run old and new side by side, and switch the old one off only when the results match.

Where we've done this before

Common questions about n8n

Yes. We start with a review of the instance: version, hosting, credentials, failed executions and workflows nobody owns. You get a list of fixes in priority order, and we can do them or hand the list to your team.
